We have resumed in-person services at our sanctuary.
During the August 23 Unity of the Black Hills Board meeting, we heard from Dr. Joan Gibson about the rising cases of COVID among our children. Because of that, we are asking all members to wear masks so that both nose and mouth are covered. Our children have no defense against this virus, and it is our opportunity to protect them. Thank you for your cooperation with this. Even though we have few children who attend, the delta variant can multiply in the nasal and throat passages, even of those vaccinated, and we can infect other vulnerable people wherever we go.
The Board also decided to reinstate fellowship with food after the service, but we are asking people to take their food and beverage outside, practice social distancing, and enjoy one another. We are open to any suggestions you may have to help us deal with this new COVID surge.
There is a virus-killing light attached to the furnace for extra safety. Please be patient as we find our new way with COVID still a factor. Services on Zoom will continue for those who cannot attend in-person. Anyone can join us at 10 a.m. on Sundays here: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/9514352609. The password is: 252867.
